Selected for DART Artistic Residency

Excited to share that I’ve been selected to be an Artistic Resident through the fantastic Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival! I’ll be creating up a storm in Twillingate, NL for the months of August and September. I’ll be working on creating new audio-visual work inspired by the Twillingate Islands region and recording/experimenting/performing on my beautiful Gemeinhardt flutes! There will be performances at the festival, I’ll be teaching workshops, connecting with elders in the community and inspiring emerging artists. I can’t begin to express how excited I am about this wonderful opportunity. I’ve been needing this in my career for quite some time. Excited to focus on art full-time and to see how experiencing a new place will influence my audio-visual work. Twillingate, I’m so excited to spend time with you real soon!

New Recording Project

It’s an exciting day for this flute looper, a moment I’ve been working towards for many months now. I begin the first of three new recording projects which will have me digging into completely new territory and collaborating with people I greatly admire. We’re combining: two of my favourite instruments (a gorgeous Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments effected alto flute and omnichord), my favourite poem (“The Invitation” by Canadian author, Oriah Mountain Dreamer), one seriously inspiring yoga instructor (Jenn King of Moksha Yoga Halifax) and one of our favourite practices, Yin Yoga. read more

Hitting the Road in 2018

Happy New Year! I’m writing to you from snowy St. John’s after returning from an inspiring time composing and performing in North Carolina. Exciting plans are in the works for 2018. I’ll be touring Eastern Canada in the Spring and North Carolina in June. I have some fun festival dates lined up for the summer and will share news about that soon. Spending most of the winter getting cozy recording and teaching in my music studio. My goal for 2018? To live with extraordinary effortlessness in ALL endeavours! Have a stellar 2018. Writing and Recording

A quick update to let everyone know what’s on the go for this hibernating flute looper. I’ve been taking a bit of time away from the stage to focus on writing and recording some new material for a bunch of new solo recording projects. Can’t wait to share more about those projects real soon! Been steady at it with a bunch of remote recording sessions and film work too. More exciting news coming soon!
