I GAZE BACK – WORK IN PROGRESS

Inspired by my artistic residency through the Cucalorus Film Festival last year, a new live music/silent film project is being created and it features a new location that I’ve fallen in love with, Wilmington, North Carolina. I GAZE BACK involves a number of filmmakers I met while I was an artistic resident including: Shona Thomson, Mandi Edwards, Mariah Kramer, Matt Malloy, Matt Gossett and Josh Caine. There are 2 films of my own in the mix that were shot in Super 8 black and white and I hand-processed with film professor, Andre Silva at UNCW. I’m currently composing all the music for the films and should have the soundtracks completed by the end of August. Our goal is to submit the project to Cucalorus in order to perform the world premiere it at this year’s festival. Keep your fingers crossed for us! : ) read more
