Showcasing at Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention
Does it ever warm my heart to share this exciting news! I’ve been invited to showcase at the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention in Virginia! It’ll be my 1st time performing in Virginia! Heart is full and optimistic that many more performances are a comin’ in 2022!
Performing Inspiration Soup at Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival
I’m honoured and excited to be performing my keynote concert, INSPIRATION SOUP at the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival on September 17th at 8:30pm.
Selected for DART Artistic Residency
Excited to share that I’ve been selected to be an Artistic Resident through the fantastic Unscripted Twillingate – Digital Arts Festival!
I’ll be creating up a storm in Twillingate, NL for the months of August and September. I’ll be working on creating new audio-visual work inspired by the Twillingate Islands region and recording/experimenting/performing on my beautiful Gemeinhardt flutes! There will be performances at the festival, I’ll be teaching workshops, connecting with elders in the community and inspiring emerging artists.
I can’t begin to express how excited I am about this wonderful opportunity. I’ve been needing this in my career for quite some time. Excited to focus on art full-time and to see how experiencing a new place will influence my audio-visual work.

A Canadian Premiere
Since COVID-19 hit, I’ve been wondering if I would ever find an opportunity to perform the Canadian Premiere of my newest audio-visual project, DON’T LET ME FALL TOO FAR in a real theatre. The answer is YES! I will be performing this precious project at the Rotary Arts Centre as we stream it live for CB Nuit. CB Nuit will be a digital arts festival this year and is happening from September 18 – 20, 2020. I’ll also be giving my first interactive artist talk, FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY. Really looking forward to sharing stories about my career and helping inspire others to aim for their biggest dreams – no matter what the obstacle. More details coming soon.
Showcasing at Contact East
For many years, I’ve been applying to showcase at Contact East through the Atlantic Presenters Association. This conference is the best opportunity for showcasing what I do in front of over 150 international, national and regional presenters. I’ve been invited to pitch “Flute Loops & Film”!!! Looks like this Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments flute looper is going to perform sweet sweet music to silent film for a 3rd time this year. I could not feel more grateful! An opportunity to take my audio-visual show to more theatres, schools and music festivals – where my heart is!

Atlantic Canada Tour
