Thank you Sound Symposium

Every two years, one of my favourite music festivals, Sound Symposium takes over St. John’s and fills the streets (and harbour) with inspiring music! I was fortunate to perform my SUNRISE meditation piece to a beautiful sunrise at Atlantic Place and we were rained out for our special SUNSET performance on Signal Hill which we hope to reschedule. Ableton Live Sample Flute Pack

Woke up to something super cool this morning. This is a dream come true for me! I collaborated with #Ableton Live Certified Trainer, AfroDJMac and he created a sound sample pack of my flute sounds for Ableton Live. ECMA Nomination for SUNSET SUNRISE

Say what?!!! SUNSET SUNRISE got nominated for an East Coast Music Association (ECMA) award for Electronic Recording of the Year!!! Who would have thought that a recording we created with so much love for our dearly departed loved ones, Graham Howcroft and Ryan Parke would be celebrated like this. What a huge honour it is to be nominated for this award.  We took inspiration from the St. John’s sunrises/sunsets last February for the RPM Challenge. New Brunswick Tour / MusicNL Award Nomination

Home sweet home in St. John’s after driving 6400 km. From St. John’s to Fredericton to Saint John to Evandale to Sussex to Bathurst to Lameque Island to Cheticamp Island to Stephenville to Burgeo and the long drive home. 2 awesome mechanics for the flat tire and cranky muffler, so many beautiful sunsets, inspiring music, my lovely Acadian family, delicious food and so much more. To top it all off? Arriving at home to discover a MusicNL nomination for Instrumental Recording of the Year for SUNSET SUNRISE! It feels good to be home with this warm heart and so many wonderful memories. To all of you who I was so fortunate to spend time with on the road, THANK YOU.
