National Flute Convention – 50th Anniversary

Got some exciting news although I’m not getting my hopes up quite yet. CHICAGO, here I come! I’ve been invited to perform at the The National Flute Association Convention in Chicago for their special 50th Anniversary celebration. I’ve never performed in Chicago and I’ve always dreamed of it! With Wilco being one of my all-time favourite bands and Chicago also being the home of Manual Cinema, this is pretty darn exciting. Let’s hope COVID-19 behaves so that I can get on that plane in August!

Article in the Newfoundland Quarterly

Thanks to the Newfoundland Quarterly for this really cool article about growing up on Toronto Island, how the flute found me, why I am so proud to call Newfoundland home and what inspired me to carve a path in the audio-visual world. Warms my heart to celebrate and acknowledge some great mentors along the way. http://nqonline.ca/article/rosalind-macphail-performing-has-always-flowed-to-me-naturally read more

A Canadian Premiere

Since COVID-19 hit, I’ve been wondering if I would ever find an opportunity to perform the Canadian Premiere of my newest audio-visual project, DON’T LET ME FALL TOO FAR in a real theatre. The answer is YES! I will be performing this precious project at the Rotary Arts Centre as we stream it live for CB Nuit. CB Nuit will be a digital arts festival this year and is happening from September 18 – 20, 2020. I’ll also be giving my first interactive artist talk, FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY.
