Since COVID-19 hit, I’ve been wondering if I would ever find an opportunity to perform the Canadian Premiere of my newest audio-visual project, DON’T LET ME FALL TOO FAR in a real theatre. The answer is YES! I will be performing this precious project at the Rotary Arts Centre as we stream it live for CB Nuit. CB Nuit will be a digital arts festival this year and is happening from September 18 – 20, 2020. I’ll also be giving my first interactive artist talk, FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY. Really looking forward to sharing stories about my career and helping inspire others to aim for their biggest dreams – no matter what the obstacle. More details coming soon.
I’ve got some really exciting and encouraging news to share! A week from now, I’ll be performing in an actual live performance venue and one of my favourites to boot!!!
St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival
I’ll be showcasing at the East Coast Music Awards on the Electronic Music Stage. Mark down Thurs April 30 from 10:55pm – 11:25 at Beer Market in St. John’s, NL. There will be loads of flute loops, electronics and film!
Playing on P4 Västmanland Sveriges Radio was a heartwarming experience I will always remember. Don’t think I’ve ever felt so nervous performing live on air before. The room was electric! It’s a rare treat when you get to perform the world premiere of a piece in the country where the piece was composed and with your collaborative partners in the room. Sweden’s Mary Read were fantastic! Check out the performances and interviews.. My segment starts around 2/3rds of the way in but I recommend you check out Mary Read too. They are doing something truly unique and special as they mix Swedish folk music with electronics. Tack to Per Erik Jonsson for the excellent engineering!
