Now this is going to be a blast! I’m performing at the SUMMER MUSIC CONCERT SERIES on Wed July 13th from 6pm-9pm.
National Flute Convention – 50th Anniversary
Got some exciting news although I’m not getting my hopes up quite yet. CHICAGO, here I come! I’ve been invited to perform at the The National Flute Association Convention in Chicago for their special 50th Anniversary celebration. I’ve never performed in Chicago and I’ve always dreamed of it! With Wilco being one of my all-time favourite bands and Chicago also being the home of Manual Cinema, this is pretty darn exciting. Let’s hope COVID-19 behaves so that I can get on that plane in August!
MusicNL Artist Development Grant
Exciting news! I’ve received a MusicNL Artist Development grant to start recording songs for my newest audio-visual project inspired by the Twillingate region, PUSH & PULL. This project features my voice, omnichord, electronics and effected flute with special musical collaborations by music producers Pick A Piper‘s Brad Weber and Terry Barrow. We’ve got a strong team for this one and we’re EXCITED! New music here we come!
Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention / Upcoming Plans
It is with a heavy heart that I share this. The Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention has cancelled their in-person convention which I was scheduled to perform at. Looks like performing in Virginia will have to wait until 2023! Sending good vibes around the globe for everyone to stay safe.
