A little ramble from me as I hang out at my Mom’s place on Toronto Island, just to give everyone a bit of a quick update of where I’m at.

Here’s a post that I tried to send while I was in Winnipeg! Now I’m in TO and get to send it now. It’s a little on the long side but gives you a feel for what it’s been like to be driving such long distances.

What a drive. Danielle and I went all the way from to Calgary with a seven hour detour! We drove straight, only taking breaks to fill up the tank. Lots of gorgeous mountains, the eve of a full moon over the Columbia Icefields, deer, elk and even a black bear. I squealed like a little kid. My Little Prince only used three tanks of gas in 17 hours. That’s awefully impressive. Can’t wait to play at the Ironwood tonight!!!

This one’s quite an emotional one so fair warning for those of you who don’t like to read that kind of stuff.

I thought I would open up to you and share what’s really goin’ on in my world as I get ready for a long drive tomorrow.

I just wrote a new song! It’s called “Thoughts of You” and it’s written for vocal loops and flute. It’s kinda scary to be sharing such emotional lyrics with y’all but hey, this is what it’s really like to be on the road…lots of moments when we have to say goodbye to people we care about. Goodbyes are always brutal and I never look forward to them. I’m learning that “see you soon” is the only way to go.

Wow, what a week! Here’s a little bit of video for y’all. Not much to show you this time around but there will be more very soon. I’ve gotta get used to filming more footage so that I have more to work with next time. At least it’s a taste of what’s been going on…
