Home sweet home in NL after touring many parts of Sweden and Berlin and showcasing at LIVE AT HEART music conference. What a time! My heart is filled to the brim from all of the wonderful people I met and the amazing music and culture I experienced. Got some Swedish touring love to share today from The Telegram: http://www.thetelegram.com/news/local/newfoundland-and-labrador-talents-showcased-in-sweden-245969/
I leave in four days for my first tour of Berlin and Sweden. Here’s where you’ll find me performing and teaching:
Thanks to the lovely folks at Improvised Alchemy and Willows Nest, I will be performing my audio-visual works and teaching a Live Film Scoring Workshop in Berlin! What a tour! Did it ever warm my heart to have my music and our films so well received in North Carolina. Here are some of my favourite TV, radio and newspaper clips collected from the tour:
And so it begins! 1st stop: GANDER for a cool house concert at Melissa Tee‘s beautiful spot! Time for some serious Tetris action in the car. So grateful to be doing this. #PiccFlute #gemeinhardtontheroad #GemeinhardtArtist#flutegirl #flutelooper #touringlife #houseconcert #atlanticcanadatour#musicpassionlife #getyourfluteon
Happy New Year! I’m writing to you from snowy St. John’s after returning from an inspiring time composing and performing in North Carolina. Exciting plans are in the works for 2018. I’ll be touring Eastern Canada in the Spring and North Carolina in June. I have some fun festival dates lined up for the summer and will share news about that soon. Spending most of the winter getting cozy recording and teaching in my music studio. My goal for 2018? To live with extraordinary effortlessness in ALL endeavours! Have a stellar 2018. You deserve it.
Home sweet home in St. John’s after driving 6400 km. From St. John’s to Fredericton to Saint John to Evandale to Sussex to Bathurst to Lameque Island to Cheticamp Island to Stephenville to Burgeo and the long drive home. 2 awesome mechanics for the flat tire and cranky muffler, so many beautiful sunsets, inspiring music, my lovely Acadian family, delicious food and so much more. To top it all off? Arriving at home to discover a MusicNL nomination for Instrumental Recording of the Year for SUNSET SUNRISE! It feels good to be home with this warm heart and so many wonderful memories. To all of you who I was so fortunate to spend time with on the road, THANK YOU. Sending a special thanks to Floodstock and Third Shift – Art Works After Dark in Saint John for such amazing performing experiences. I can’t wait to tour through New Brunswick again.
